We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 organization. Our volunteers spend their own time and money training, with support from grants and donations.
Who We Are
Kitsap County Search Dogs is a unit of professional volunteers under the Kitsap County Department of Emergency Management. Our mission is to provide trained canine teams to assist the Sheriff in locating missing persons. Teams are ready to respond at all times of day in all types of weather.

Mission Statement: Kitsap County Search Dogs (KCSD) is a volunteer organization dedicated to providing specialized canines and trained personnel to the Kitsap County Sheriff, to assist in locating lost, injured or missing persons and victims of natural or man-made disasters in Kitsap County and Washington State.
What We Do
Dogs, with their keen sense of smell and intelligence, are a huge asset to a search effort. It takes patience, dedication and hundreds of hours to become an effective canine search team. An effective search team also relies on numerous support people to get the job done.
